Today we warmed up our vocal chords to celebrate the holiday season with some good, old-fashioned caroling. The residents at Brightwater Centre joined in, providing the perfect harmony to the songs we’d chosen.  Our Phoenix elf Jill, handed some bells to a particularly lively lady whose eyes crinkled with delight as she jingled along with us.  We even had a gentleman join our Phoenix elf Laila at the piano and another who sung along in German. Those who preferred to listen made us...

There were a lot of happy people at STC when they realized why Santa and our elves were there! Their stunned faces lit up like Christmas trees when we popped out in costume and paid for their trips. The night was humbling and reminded us all why it’s so important to give back to the community.    Then, Friday morning began with our elves armed with tools and ready to get building. After orientation from the professionals on-site, they got to drywalling. The builders...

The cutest moment was when one of the little ones started slipping down the hill. When another little boy tried to help, they both went sliding. Our Phoenix elf, Sara, “heroically” dove to the rescue. They sure kept us on our toes! When we weren’t cruising down the hill, we took a break to build a snowman with the perfect...
